Bayern vs Inter Milan’s Most Thrilling Encounters

Bayern vs Inter Milan is one of the most anticipated matches in UCL quarterfinals, with some thrilling encounters in history. Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are set to square off on April 9 for the first leg in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal. Die Roten will play host first in Allianz Arena, which happens to be the venue for the final. Vincent Kompany’s side are undoubtedly hoping they could go through and find redemption in the 2012 final edition, in which they humiliatingly lost to Chelsea on penalties. Lifting the Big Ear trophy at home turf seems ideal, and a win over Nerrazurri would be the first step to such a target. Unfortunately, none is easy when it comes to the opponent in the further knockout stage. Inter Milan pose their own threat which could jeopardise Harry Kane and Co’s chance for UCL glory. Throughout history, both sides have met nine times, with five wins and one drawfor the Bundesliga giant. However, their three defeats were more devastati...

The Best Managers Each Elite Nations Never Had

Several top managers have never had a chance to take charge of their own national team until they retired. The best managers tend to have a chance to take charge of their own national team. Their success at the clubs, especially with continental trophies in their collection, should have given them a nod for the expected job easily, and there is no higher pride than leading their own national team in the dugout. Nevertheless, some legendary names appeared to have never had such a job, despite being linked with it for more than just once! Each name had their own circumstances.  The most well-known example was probably Brian Clough. The former Derby County and Nottingham Forest boss has been tipped as ‘the best manager England never had’. Despite his rare triumphant success in guiding The Tricky Trees to a league title and a back-to-back European Cup, Clough was never named the English boss. He was reportedly under consideration by FA twice, in 1977 and 1982, to lead the ...

The Best Balkan Boss in the European Elite Sides

Several Balkan managers have been able to thrive at the European elite clubs. Balkan managers seem to be overlooked today. There have been very few of them who manage to thrive at the top level.  Recently, AS Roma has appointed Ivan Juric to replace Daniel de Rossi. The Croatian boss is a surprising name since he has yet to win any silverware. However, Juric’s stint with Hellas Verona and Torino didn't go unnoticed. Yet, taking charge of the midtable sides is entirely different from being at the helm of an elite team as Roma. Giallorossi is keen on returning to the Champions League, something that even the Special One, Jose Mourinho, could not achieve, despite winning the UEFA Conference League, their first continental trophy, in 2021.  Unfortunately, Roma’s campaign in Europe has already been dented by a shocking loss to Sweden’s Elfsborg in the Europa League this week. Juric might not be under pressure yet, but the former Crotone boss needs to turn things around...
